Day One

Dive into Coastal Adventures

10am: It’s time to check in at Polzeath Beach House and begin your Cornish getaway weekend. Checking in later? You’re welcome to drop your bags with our reception team. Head straight to the golden shores of Polzeath Beach and dive into the exhilarating world of surfing or stand-up paddleboarding. As a guest with us, you have access to exclusive discounts on surf lessons, SUP lessons and equipment hire with our partners, Wavehunters. As well as access to our Surf Shack for getting water ready!

Whether it’s a group surf, SUP lessons, or equipment hire or if you’ve already mastered the ‘pop-up’, you can book water activities directly with our reception team or contact Wavehunters. Ride the waves of Polzeath Beach which welcomes seasoned pros and first-time surfers looking to get involved. Wavehunters ensures an experience that’s as thrilling as it is rewarding.

12:30pm: After your lesson, take time to soak up the Cornish sunshine on the iconic coastline, perhaps beach games, sunbathing or reading your favourite book. Time on the beach is always well spent.

2pm: Whether you’re booked for lunch, or grab a bench table on the sun terrace, we recommend lunch at The Atlantic. Satisfy your appetite with a delicious Italian-inspired lunch, how about trying a Saltimbocca pizza sandwich and a classic, Aperol Spritz. If you’re looking to stay closer to the beach for lunch, try the fresh seafood at The Cracking Crab or wander to the Beach Box for a tropical smoothie.

3:30pm: Extend your beach day with equipment hire from the team at Wavehunters, so there’s no excuse not to get back in the water and perfect the pop-up! Or use the red and yellow RNLI flags to jump in for a sea swim. 

5pm: As the day starts to unwind, retreat to the sunset-drenched terrace of Polzeath Beach House for a well-deserved drink. Explore the well-stocked bar at The Atlantic for a locally-brewed, craft beer from Harbour Brewing or choose from the cocktail menu. Raise a glass to the beauty of the coastline and the memories made under the Cornish sky.

7pm: Sit down to a Italian-inspired, summer menu at The Atlantic and enjoy an unforgettable dining experience from our team of dedicated Chefs. Our menu reflects what’s in season when you visit and is crafted with only the best ingredients from Cornwall and Italy. See the current menus here. Day Two

Sea Safari & Sauna

8am: Rise and shine with a freshly cooked breakfast at our beachside restaurant, The Atlantic. It’s quite simply the only way to start your day and fuel up for the adventures ahead. Check out the Atlantic breakfast menu here

9:30am: Only a few minutes drive from Polzeath Beach House you’ll discover Rock. Park at the car park near to the slipway and jump on a scenic Padstow Harbour Ferry. Glide across the Camel Estuary before landing at the charming fishing village of Padstow, where cobblestone streets and quaint harbour views await. Take the time to wander through the narrow streets and explore the local art and boutique shops. 

11am: It’s time for the ultimate, Cornish sea safari! Launch from Padstow harbour. Get out there on the water and explore the crazy Cornish coastline in a 500hp, 10 metre RIB. Operating from both Padstow and Rock, you can access the most scenic and unspoilt coastline in Cornwall. Witness a diverse range of sea-life including birds, seals, dolphins and even the occasional whale. 12:30pm: After your maritime adventure, indulge in a classic Cornish pasty, freshly caught seafood and a proper Cornish, Treleavens Ice Cream. There’s plenty of delicious treats to be had in Padstow and even more locally-brewed craft beer…

2:30pm: Return to Rock on the Padstow Harbour Ferry and hop in the car back to Polzeath Beach House. Grab a beach bag with all the essentials and venture down to the tranquil, Baby Bay, situated to the right of the hotel. Steeped between sloping, Cornish hills, you’ll discover an almost private beach with a charming wood fired sauna at the top of the bay. 

3:30pm: Indulge in a rejuvenating session at Saunas By The Sea, nestled on the pristine sands of Baby Bay. Let the warmth of the sauna envelop you, followed by a refreshing dip in the crystalline waters for the ultimate seaside spa experience.

6:30pm: Toast the beginning of a sundowner and the end of another fantastic Cornish day out on the hotel sun terrace, choose from a selection of wines, cocktails or beer to make the toast extra special. As the sun dips below the horizon, it’s time to settle into an evening meal. 

8pm: Whether you’re booked at our beachside restaurant, The Atlantic, or you prefer to explore the culinary delights North Cornwall has to offer, make your evening one to remember. Only a few miles up the coast, you’ll find Nathan Outlaws Fish Restaurants, if you’re lucky enough to bag a table, it is well worth a visit! Or if you’re looking for pub atmosphere, how about Paul Ainsworth’s, The Mariners public house in Rock for the ultimate gastro dining. 

Day Three

Serenity and Departure

7:30am: Start your day with relaxation and mindfulness. Book a blissful morning beach yoga session with Wavehunters where the sand is your studio. The expert team lead all level, fitness and yoga classes right on the beach and also offer private, one-to-one classes by the ocean. Forgot your yoga mat? No problem, you can hire a mat before your session.

9am: Feeling refreshed and awake, wander up from the beach and settle on the sun terrace or restaurant for breakfast. Choose from a loaded sourdough toasts, full cooked breakfasts or fruit and fresh pastries.
