COMMITMENT
Our hotel is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We will meet the needs of persons with disabilities in a timely manner and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the law.

THE HOTEL
Pre–arrivals
For pre-arrival assistance please email your requirements to our Bookings Team: bookings@atlantichousepolzeath.co.uk

Car parking
There is no on-street parking permitted between March and October on Atlantic Mews and Atlantic Terrace. Please display your Blue Badge and we can move your car to one of the Disabled Parking bays on Atlantic Terrace close to the Hotel that are available following your arrival.

Reception
There are no steps at the entrance to Reception. You can take the lift down to Reception. We will meet you on arrival in Atlantic Mews if this has been arranged.

Bedroom
We have a specially adapted bedroom on the first floor which can be accessed via the lift. Reception can assist you in getting to your room as there are fire doors to be opened with your key card. Room 1 has fully disabled access with a wet room and walk in shower plus emergency pull cords. There is a low-level hand basin. The floor is non-slip.

There is a superking zip-and-link bed that can be made into twin beds for you. Please advise us when you make the booking if that is your preference. There is a vibrating pillow alarm to put under your pillow. We have a Personal Evacuation Plan that will be provided to you (PEP).

Disabled Refuge System
There is a multi-zone disabled call and refuge system installed in the refuge point on the fire escape stairs close to this bedroom providing a safe location to call the evacuation co-ordinator in the event of an emergency.

Hotel Residents’ Lounge, Restaurant and Bar
These areas are all on the Ground Floor with access via the lift from the first floor. The outside Terrace is on the same level with another Terrace down some steps. There more are steps down to Atlantic Terrace where the disabled parking bays are located. All floors are fully tiled.

Toilets
There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor, in the Restaurant area. The toilet has vertical rails either side of the toilet and a disabled alarm system.

Additional Information
Assistance dogs are allowed in the Hotel.

Accessible Emergency Information
We will provide customers and clients with publicly available emergency information in an accessible format upon request.

Dog Policy

We operate an animal-free building and can recommend Treswarrow Boarding Kennels & Cattery off the B3314, in the middle of rural farmland, and 5 minutes from Atlantic House.

Rosie and Jane have been caring for dogs, and more recently cats, for almost 40 years. No casual workers are employed so pets can settle into a familiar and contented routine.
