Top Cornish Beach Destinations

Discover beaches along North Cornwall’s rugged coastline. From sandy bays, long shorelines or secret smugglers’ coves, this stretch of Atlantic Coast captivates all who visit. With 42 beaches, you are spoilt for choice, and here are just a few of our favourite beaches.

Polzeath Beach is a Blue Flag family beach. Enormous at low tide, extending around half a mile in all directions. One of the safest beaches along this stretch of coast. Excellent for surfers of all abilities or making sandcastles.

Baby Bay is adjacent to Polzeath Beach and perfect for couples and families to hunker down for the day with their picnic from Atlantic House.

Rock Beach is a long stretch of golden sand following the Estuary. Backed by sand dunes behind which is St Enodoc Golf Club. The waters are generally clear and safe, being sheltered.

Daymer Beach has at low tide long stretches of golden sand backed by dunes with superb views. The beach is in the mouth of the Camel Estuary, sheltered and has a gently sloping beach making it safe for swimming.

Lundy Bay is a small sheltered rocky cove. At low tide, a beautiful sandy beach is revealed along with plenty of rock pools making it a great place for families with kids. Access involves a bit of a hike off the beaten track through an open field into a stunning wooded valley, down to the beach via a sloping path or up to the cliff to take in the breath-taking views.
